Why are some people more sensitive than others? I have thought about this for many years. Children seem to see things(spirits, ghost) that some adults don't. Is this because we are told when we are little that "They don't exist"?
When my kids were little, they would tell me of things they would see in our house, and instead of laughing it off or saying "it didn't exist", I would tell them "Its ok, there is nothing here that will hurt you". I didn't want them to be afraid but, at the same time I couldn't tell them that "it didn't exist" when I and others had experienced the same things. I wanted them to know it was all right to feel and see the things that they did. Do adults tell children that spirits don't exist because they are afraid of what might be lurking in the shadows themselves? If you have any thoughts on this, let us here from you.

Children are more sensitive I think than adults although wommen seem to be more sensitive than men! Call it a nurturing side of them or maybe it is because of the female gender seem to have a sixth sense. I know when I was a child that I saw my dead great grand parents and it scared me as I didn't know what was going on. I was backwards because of this and at times when I was a teen I knew who was calling before the phone was answered. When I had children I found that the girls had that same ability. My middle child more so than my first. When she was a baby she would say that she knew who she was before she was born and that use to make that hair stand up on the nap of my neck. I never tried to hinder their development of what ever special talents they had as I looked at this as a gift or something that everyone has--we just don't know where we put it! | |
